3-Year-Old Daughter of Irvin Lewis Will Probably Recover From Bite of Reptile. The 3-year-oid daughter of Mr. and Mrs. IrvinVewis, of Laura, was bitten at 6 o'clock Wednesday evening by a rattlesnake. The reptile sank its poisonous fangs into the tot’s deg just aboveXhe left ankle. The child ywas playingsjn the tall grass in the yard and >®robably stepped on the snake. The Thoughtfulness of the parents will\probably save the child’s life. While the doctor was being summoned a handkerchief was tied tightly about the little one’s leg, just below the knee, to prevent the poison being carried over the system. When the doctor arrived he employed the inethods common in such cases, commending the action of the parents. He believes the little girl will recover. The snake was killed. It was a fair sized one, having* both rattles and buttons.
