Jim Norris’s Section Now Has a Large Motor Car.

A large motor section car was received here last week and wills be used in the future by Foreman James Norris’s section, replacing the old back-breaking handcar. The car wilj .haul ten or a dozen hands and travel at a rate of 30 miles or more an hour. Mr. Norris’s section starts two miles northwest of Rensselaer and extends to Parr. His section crew could hardly work the car over the Coen grade, especially In windy weather. By the time the crew would get to the point where they were to work they would be exhausted and after a day’s work it was a hard job to work the handcar back home again. The new car will prove a welcome conveyance for the section hands and should be a matter of labor economy to the railroad. The truck weighs but little more than the old handcar. It is propelled by a gasoline engine. Roadmaster E. W. Budd came over from Monon last Saturday, and showed -Foreman Norris how to operate it and care for it. x
