MAKES SPIKE-PULLING EASY
New Device Does the Work Easily and With a Minimum of Labor Expended. This railroad spike puller is attached to the rail by means of two hooks, one. extending down from each side of the upright foot of the machine. A clawlike attachment clamps the head of the nail, which is withdrawn when
the necessary amount of pressure Is brought to bear upon the lever extending across the track, aB shown. The hookß also enable the device to *be moved along the top of the rail, from spike to spike, without lifting the puller, which may be operated outside of rail, beneath cars, upon trestles, and between guard rails.—Popular Mechanics.
