Duck Shooting Permitted By State Law Provision.

Ist will place a limit of, Dec. 15th upon, the Shooting in the northern zone. The law will not permit shooting Of migratory birds during the spring of the year, but should have the effect of greatly Improving the shooting in the fall, as the open season in the south will be shortened and the United States Is acting in conjunction with Canada and the latter country has passed a lew prohibiting the gathering of duck eggs, which was largely indulged in there. By the terms of the state law the open season begins today, and the federal also opens the .season on Sept Ist It will probably be tome time, however, before there will be many ducks flying.
