All efforts to entice the case to come down failed, so the fire department ran up the aerial ladder and! went after the mouser. Boeing the firemen approaching the* cat jumped seventy-five feet to the< brick paving below and was stunned! for a while, but one of its proverbial! lives came back and it was soon all! right. The cat had been without foodl and was very emaciated.
