What’s the Joke? We Don’t Get You; No Dead Ones Here.

Monticello Journal—A prominent Monticello man was in Rensselaer yesterday and was informed by a citizen of that city that five men had frozen to death there during the day. The Journal did' not try today to either verify or disprove the report and the statement is given out just as it reached this office. Might say, though, the thermometer stood in the 90’s in the shade in that town according to the papers all d&y and far into the evening.
