Monticello Boys Arrested For Looting Chalmers Store.
Reynolds Journal—Three young men of Monticello • were arrested here Friday evening by Marshall Britton and held until authorities from Chalmers took them in hand. One or more of the boys had broken into a store and stolen eight dollars in change. The boys had taken the evening plug here and were waiting for the east bound Panhandle train when arrested. The youthful robbers evidently got wind of what was to befall them and hid their suit case before they were arrested. When they were searched nothing could be found on them and 'the suit case, when found, also contained no money. The boys plead guilty at Chalmers and were promised a release if they restored the money. An automobile trip back to Reynolds disclosed the money, hidden in the gra-ss near where the suit case had been. One of the young men has served a term in the State Reformatory.
