Sergeant Garland to Be Member of State Rifle Team.

Sergeant Jerry B. Garland, of Company M, of Rensselaer, who was disqualified for membership in the state rifle team which will represent Indiana at the national matches to be held at Camp Perry, Ohio, next month, has been reinstated on the team and directed to report at Fort Benjamin Harrison Thursday of this week. The reason at first assigned for his disqualification was that he had failed to shoot at the battalion match held at Parr. A protest was filed against his disqualification and the protest sustained by the adjutant-general and he was placed on the team. Sergeant Garland ranks with the best military riflemen in the state and nation. t
