Surrey Defeated Newland At Baseball Last Sunday.

Surrey and Newland played ball at Surrey last Sunday. The score was 17 to 3 in favor of Surrey. Herman Clayton pitched tor Surrey and Butch Zoolie caught. They made a good battery. Newland got only, one two-bagger off Clayton. Bowen pitched tor Newland and Blacker caught. Bowen was quick in getting the ball to bases, but the locals batted him all over the field. Stirrey made one home-run, one three bagger and several two baggers and singles. Butch Zoolic got the home run. Next Sunday Surrey will play the Mt. Ayr nine.
