Will Take Jas. W. McEwen To the Asylum Monday.
Sheriff Hoover went to the home of J. W. McEwen, the aged editor whose mind gave. way several months ago, this morning, and found Mrs. Francis Bostwick, the daughter of Mr. McEwen, quite anxious to do the right thing and she asked that be might be left at home for a few days. Sheriff Hoover agreed to this and it was arranged to take him away next Monday. Sunday the sheriff will take him an automobile ride and try to make thingĀ® pleasant for the old gentleman. v It is unfortunate that Mrs. McEwen and her daughter look upon the action of the clerk and the sanity board as they do, for the action is taken for their welfare and that of Mr. McEwen. It is not improbable that he will be restored to a much better mental condition after a period at the asylum. Mrs. McEwen continues in poor health.
