Took Contract for Excavating 24,586 Yards of Earth From Ditch Bearing His Name. * • (Michael Jungles was the only bidder Monday/ when the job of completing the Jungles ditch Was let by Superintendent W. Frank Osborne. This is the ditch which John Hack & Son, of Lowell, had the original contract to dig and which they did not complete The estimated yardage yet to be removed is 24,586 yards, and Mr. Jungles’ bid was 55 cents per yard. He is given a year from July 14th to complete the work. He expects to be able to remove most of the earth with scrapers. We have a few spring Suits left which must be sold.
