Small Fire Loss at, Newland; House Occupied by Wm. Kennedy.

A 4-room frame house belonging to Tom Callahan and occupied by Wm. Kennedy, near Newland, was damaged to the extent of about $lO this Tuesday morning. Presumably the fire caught from the cookstove. The Newland fire department subdued the flames with three well directed pails of water. The loss was covered by insurance in the R. D. Thompson agency.-
