Lost Hogs During the Hot Weather Last Week.

The extremely hot weather of last week was hard on all kinds of stock, and several head of horses were reported dead and many others.badly overheated. Hogs, especially large brood sows, suffered a great deal from the heat. Horatio Ropp lost a thoroughbred Chester White sow that he valued at SSO. John Moore lost three, Jack Hoyes two and Gerry Snedeker two.
