Such interests of many of “the second generation of wealth” are a better dependence for the future than the earlier hope that the second and succeeding generations would fdfiander what the fathers and grandfathers accumulated. . Spendthrifts do not materially affect the general welfare. Persons with social instincts and a sense of responsibility do.
