NORTH NEWTON.
Wm. Bierley was in Rensselaer Monday. Mrs. Beranda called on Mary Lane Monday. Some in this neighborhood are planting corn. Mr. Ed and Miss Rose Lane were in Rensselaer Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Evert Grimes and son spent Sunday at Milt Grimes’. James and Ed Lane went to Chicago Tuesday and bought a bunch of cattle. Mrs. Wm. Bierley spent last Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Milt Grimes. Mrs. Wm. Bierley spent last Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. James Lane. Mrs. Milt Grimes and daughter, Dile, were shopping in Rensselaer Saturday. Mrs. Zickman’s children, who had the measles, are well. They were very sick for a'time. Joe Lane and family and James Lane and family attended church last Thursday at Rensselaer. Dr. Martin, of Mt. Ayr, was called to Milt Grimes’ Sunday. Mrs. Grimes’ sister, who is visiting them, was real sick, but is quite better at this writing.
