T. P. Dunlap came from Elwood this morning to look after some business and to visit his farm near Surrey. He reports that himself and wife are well pleased there and that his son is getting along nicely in the jewelry business.

Lynch arrived here Monday evening from Stroud, Okla., and brought evidence of warmer weather in the southwest by wearing a panama straw hat, about the first straw topmast that has been seen in this city since the fall ban was established. Colonel states that he has always believed in warm feet and a cool head and since this visit is occasioned by a lawsuit, a cool head will doubtless be a very good thing. Mr. Lynch is a real estate dealer and has made several visits to Rensselaer and owned some farm property In this county during the past two or three years.
