Chicago.—People who complain of the high cost of beef in the retail mar. kets should eat goat meat Western cattlemen declare it is as good as beef and less costly. On the Kansas Ctty market a few days ago a bunch of 396 New Mexico yearling sheep, which averaged 79 pounds, sold for $6.35 a hundred. On the same day in the same market a shipment of 124 goats, which averaged 74 pounds, sold for $3.10 a hundred.
