HANDY NEAR WRITING TABLE
Hanging Penwiper a Dainty Little Novelty That May Be Made Quite Attractive. * This Useful and decorative little novelty is for hanging on a stationery case or the wall by the side of the writing table, and should be carried out in quite a small size. The back portion is made of a piece of stiff
cardboard cut out in the shape of a shield about six Inches deep, aad to the upper part of this cardboard a dress hook is sewn. The card is afterwards covered both back and front with pale blue silk and edged with a dark blue silk cord carried Into three loops on either aide and again at the base. There is a long loop of some of the Sams cord at the top by which the
holder and penwiper may be suspended from a nail in the wall. The penwiper itself consists of a number of pieces of cloth, of a dark color for preference and of the shape shown, fastened together by means ot a strip of kid which bindß the upper edges of the material. In the center a small ring is sewn by which the penwiper may be suspended from the book. On the front. Initials can be worked in silk in some strongly contrasting shade of color or some pretty little floral design can take their place It preferred. The sketch so clearly shows the nature of this little article that further description is unnecessary.
