Social Given to Thank Donor of New Pipe Organ.
About one hundred members of the Presbyterian church gathered at the chprch Ttiesday evening to express their thanks to B. Forsythe for the pipe organ he gave the church several months ago. Mr. and Mrs. Forsythe were the guests of honor and the evening proved a very pleasant one to all who attended. Although it was several months ago since the organ was given, the social, which had been planned at the time, was postponed owing to many other things going on, and then Mr. Forsythe went away to be married and spent several months in California and the social awaited his return, A musical program of rare excellence was carried out. Miss Bel LaRue gave several selections on the organ, Miss Alice Shedd and Mrs. George Reed sang solos, Miss Ruth Wood and Mr. John Duvall played violin solos, the Wood orchestra played several selections and refreshments consisting of coffee, ice cream and cake were served. Mr. Forsythe was made to feel that his splendid gift was most gratefully received by the church.
