Ernest C. Kruger has contracted tor the purchase of 120 acres,-well improved, three miles south of Monticello, known as the Frank U. Baker farm. Dr. J. A. Tillett returned to White Fish, Montana, last week, after a brief visit with relatives hereabout. Mr. and Mrs., R. T. Alkire have moved back to Francesville and arc now living in their property in the south part of town. Fred Herman, who recently purchased the Brenneman farm, south of Francesville, moved here from Freemont, 111., the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Ingle, Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Watson and family, Miss Hannah Byers, were entertained at dinner last Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. Foster Morgan, west of Francesville. James Blake of Chicago, is again a resident of this community, having moved onto the Lewis Lehman farm, southwest of here, Monday. His family was expected to arrive yesterday. Mrs. Charles Swisher returned from Gary, Monday, where she visited a couple of days with her husband, who is doing carpenter contract work there. They intend to move there within the next few 4 weeks. 4 Bledsoe and Engle closed a deal this week in which Samuel Walters became the owner of the Leroy Shrontz land in Beaver township. Mr. Walters also bought the Ernest Kruger imbroved 120 acres adjoining, making him 188 acres. Bledsoe and Engle also closed a deal Monday in which Levi White disposed of nls 120-acre farm in Beaver township to William F. Jewel, of Lafayette.
