MT. AYR.
A. O. Moore was in Mt. Ayr on business Wednesday. Mr. Lee is quite sick at this time, from a general breakdown. Albert Johnson is visiting in DeMotte this week with Pud White. Claude Seward and family visited with his mother, Mrs. Ollie Seward, Sunday. Mrs. L. Ponsler visited with E. Wuerthner’s, of Surrey, Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Ole Bengston has been quite sick with tonsilitis, but is better at this writing. Miss Jane Makeever visited with Mrs. Goldie Price, of Surrey, Saturday and Sunday. Henry Agate, of Topeka, Ind., visited with his aunt, Mrs. George Johnson, and family last week. Mr. Witham, of Charleston, Miss., came Monday to attend the funeral of his sister, Mrs. David Mauck. Ben Romine, of Oklahoma, has been visiting relatives and friends in and around Mt. Ayr. He returns to his home soon. Last Friday was Mrs. Ollie Seward’s 69th birthday and about fifteen ladies went in suprising her in the evening. All had a good time.
