Economical Suggestions.

Silk should never be Ironed on the right side, as it will be shiny wherever the Iron has touched it. To prevent the gravy soaking through the bottom crust of meat pies brush over the crust with white of egg. After frying onions pour a little vinegar into the frying pan, let it get hot, and it will remove all smell from the pan. When washing coarse clothes use soft soap, as it will go further than the ordinary yellow and is more efficacious. Do not leave wooden tubs dry or they will quickly crack and come apart. Keep a little water always standing in them.
