Vic Bowsher Says It is, All Fake About That Auto.

Vic Bowsher, the young man who was reported to have drawp a $5,000 automobile from a magazine, cabled at The Republican office this Wednesday morning to state that he had received no notice of such good luck, but to the contrary had learned that -the automobile was drawn by a girl named “Bowser,” who works for the company that was conducting the lottery. He says he is certain there was a crooked deal and that the company never conducted the drawing along the lines they had promised. Bowsher is a young man about 20 years of age. He says “weus” and “youns” and pleads guilty to being a frog hunter by occupation, and states that he makes $5 and $6 and $36 a day sometimes at the business. He moved here with his parents and lives in the little house south of the Christian church.
