Mocha Cake.
Put four eggs and four tablespoonfuls sugar in a basin, arid beat them over boiling water till they are quite thick, remove the basin and beat for five minutes, then sift in fbur ounces flour and one teaspoonful baking powder; stir gently. Pour mixture*lnto buttered and floured tin and bake thirty minutes in moderate oven- Remove from the tin and let it get quite cold, then ice with the following frosting: Beat two ounces butter and one-quarter pound confectioners’ sugar till it is quite white, then add three tablespoons strong coffee very gradually till it is a smooth paste. Put this into a forcing bag with tube, and decorate the cake prettily.
