SUDDEN DEATH OF BROOKSTON DOCTOR
Schratched Little Finger --.While Cranking Auto and Died in Hospital of Septicemia.
Dr. Charles T. Brockway, of Brookston, a leading physician and citizen, died at St. Elizabeth hospital, in Lafayette, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. His son, C. Jesse Brock Way, is. an interne in the hospital. week ago last Friday while cranking up his automobile he slightly injured the little finger on his right hand. The following Monday he was taken to the hospital at Lafayette, where he gradually grew worse, death resulting from septicemia or blood poisoning. The body was shipped to Brookston Monday morning and the funeral took place this Tuesday afternoon. Dr. Brockway leaves a widow aiyl two sons, Dr. C. Jesse Brockway, who will probably leave the hospital and come to ton to take up his father’s practice, and Howard T. BrockwEy, wh6 was elected prosecuting attorney of Carrol and White.countfes at the last election. The latter young man will be remembered by many Rensselaer people, for some ten or twelve years ago he came here on several occasions and played the cornet with the Rensselaer band.
