Proceedings of the City Council.

At the regular meeting of the city council Monday evening the council was instructed to prepare En ordinance providing for the installation of gates at the Forest, Dayton, Main and Franklin street crossings and to regulate the speed of trains through the city limits. It was decided to buy the electric light meters now owned by individuals, and to pay not more than the present market value. The matter of final assessments on the College avenue and Washington street sewers was continued to the next regular meeting.
