Pass went to Francesville today and will visit relatives there and at -Medaryville. Next week he expects to go to Chattanooga, Tenn., to visit relatives. i Lyman &ea went £o Michigan City today to sell his famous “pain killer,” and put all Michiganders who have been on the sick list back in robust health again. County Clerk Perkins went to Lafayette today, carrying with him; six heavy record books, to be used in testifying in the Bisher land case. John G. Hayes went down as a witness in the same case. The Jasper County Telephone Co. will install about 1,000 yards of cable to be used in Rensselaer. This will considerably delay the repair of some teieghQne inside the corporation. Trustee J. W. Selmer was down from Gillam township yesterday. He says that the sleet put the telephone exchange at Medaryville quite out of business and that he was unable to phone to any place excep£a few of the nearby neighbors. Monticello plays Delphi at the latter place tonight. The relative strength of the teams and of Rensselaer with them can be figured out tolerably well after the game is over, even if the games Rensselaer has had with them is not a certain guage of strength. A postal card was received a few days ago from Mr. and Mrs. B. Forsythe, who were at that time at Grand Canyon, Ariz. The card .was a picture of one part of the calif yon, and about which Mr. Forsythe wrote on the card: “Over one mile deep and the grandest sight in the world.” ♦ ' J. S. Lutz came Saturday and remained until this morning the guest of his brother’s widow, Mrs. Anna Lutz, and children. He is located at Sioux Falls, S. Dak., and is an insurance agent for the Northwestern Life, having ten counties in that state. He is an extremely pleasant gentleman and his visit here was much enjoyed. A Classified Adv. will find it
