FAIR OAKS.
Mrs. Mattie Dickinson spent Sunday with her brother and family. Leona Helsell, of Virgie, visited with Ray Casey and family a few days. ■ Mrs. James Clifton spent a few days this week with her mother in Rensselaer. Walter McConnell and family spent the holiday with relatives in Wheatfield. Howard and Olaf Sorenson, of Chicago, are spending the vacation with friends here. The teachers who went home for the vacation have returned to take up the school work. Joe Clouse and family have moved to Dubuque, lowa, where he has a job in the electrical line. Sunday morning, Dec. 29, Miss Ella Johnson died at her home in the west part of town. Cloyd Clifton and .wife, who have been staying near Fowler for some time, have returned home. Mrs. Tolbert and daughter and Miss Goldie Gould, of Long Point, 111.,, returned home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Baines, of Clark’s Station, are visiting her mother, Mrs. David Winslow, at present. The young people and some of the older ones held a watch meeting New Year’s eve and rang outthe old year. /
