Can Notice Changes For The Good in Old Town.
B .F. Coen, son of W. S. Coen, of Rensselaer, and head of the Department of English and History in the Colorado State Agricultural College, writes from Fort Collins, as follows: “Inclosed find check for $1.50 for which please send The Republican for the next year to my sister, Miss Clara Coen, 501 South Clayton St, Bloomington, 111. I was in Rensselaer a few hours at Thanksgiving time. To a person who sees the old town only every few years, the improvements from year to year are very marked. The new depot, the good streets, the well-kept lawns and the general appearance of thrift all appealed to me. I never saw Rensselaer look so well as she did this time. May your Christmas < be pleasant and the new year profitable.” That kind of a letter should make every person in Rensselaer swell up a little and declare that the next year shall do even more to merit the good expressions of our former residents.
