County Officials Reported Short in Accounts.

N. A. Murphy, treasurer of Pulaski county in 1906-7, was charged with illegally retaining $2,753.11 while in office, in a report made public by the state board of accounts. Clarence Norquest, clerk of the' Benton circuit court, was charged with $170.15. Schuyler C. Robertson, formerly sheriff of St. Joseph county, was charged with $694.75, and Charles A. Aitken, former clerk of the Elkhart circuit court, was charged with $807.80 directly and $327.50 constructively. The reports have been certified to the various prosecutors for action.
