ONE WEEK HOLIDAY FOR CITY SCHOOLS

Begins Next Monday and Continues For the Week—Resumes Again On December 30th. It has been decided to have only one week for vacation at the holiday season. It will begin next Monday, Dec. 23rd, and continue for the week, the schools resuming on the following Monday, Dec. 30th. Some delays were occasioned during the fall by reason of the new school building and in order not to prolong the schools at the close of the school year the curtailed holiday vacation was agreed upon. The district schools throughout the county will hold school Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 23 and 24, and then dismiss until Thursday, Jan. 2nd. This is the general rule but‘there will be a number of exceptions where teachers from other places wish to reach their homes the day before Christmas, in which cases the schools will close on Monday night. The semi-annual examinations in the district schools of. the county are being held today apd tomorrow. Why not a nice bedspread? Lee has a good line. Rev.
