ALMOST TO ZERO WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Official Thermometer Says One Up— Forecast Is for Warner Friday— Skating Is Ripe. Wednesday night was mighty cold for this time of the year. The official thermometor kept at St. Joseph’s college registered one above zero. It had been about 10 to 15 above for two or three mornings previously and did. not have far to slip to reach the low mark of Wednesday night/ 'During Wednesday afternoon the mercury began to tumble.,,, A cold wind blew from the west and north and It was anything but pleasant to be outside. The wind moderated but did not entirely subside and the mercury continued to drop until daylight, when' the low mark was reached. Skating on the ice pond is good and a number were out Wednesday evening and the pond will probably be lined after school is dismissed this afternoon, although It is too cold for comfortable skating. The weatherman promises continued fair weather with rising temperature Friday.
