Guard Claude, of the state prison at Michigan City, has been off doty for a few days owing to injuries received Wednesday when he was attacked by an Insane inmate of the institution'. The prisoner was out in the yard for an airing when -he attacked the officer with a knife used in the qhair factory within the walls. The knife came in contact with Mr. Claude's hand and quite a painful cut resulted.
