Minnie Johnson went to Monon Saturday evening for a short visit. Ed Peregrine has hired to M- L. Ford for the coming year. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Lowman went to Chicago Saturday to buy goods. Gifford Marr took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Gifford at Rensselaer Sunday. Dora Phillips and Olive Cole were in Rensselaer Saturday doing some shopping. A letter from J. P. Gwin and family, Mammoth Springs, Ark., states that they are all well as usual and still enjoying warm weather. Mr. and Mrs. George Parker and daughter, Ethell, were in Rensselaer Saturday and invested in a new cook stove. >. j' Miss Louffee Strantz, teacher at Banta school house, has announced her box social for November 16th, and is planning something unusual in the way of box social entertainment. The postponed social at the Moore school was quite well attended Saturday night. The social was to have been held Thursday evening, hut owing to the bad weather, was postponed. Grant Lutes, of Monon, who has been working at the stone crusher north of Lee, was quite painfully injured by a bursted steam hose Saturday morning. He was at once taken to Monon to have the injury dressed. Mr. and Mrs. M. L. For<*and Miss Louise Strantz and Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Bussell took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Molitor Sunday. Mr. Molttor is going to move to his farm in Paulding county, Ohio, next spring, or perhaps as soon as he has disposed of his crop here. He is an excellent farmer and will do well whereever he locates. ✓
