Gingerbread.

Sieve Into a basin two pounds of flour, two ounces ginger, add grated rind of one lemon. Warm one and «. quarter pounds of molasses with half a pound of butter, stir them into the flour with two well-beaten eggs, adding if liked a few caraway seeds and quarter teaspoonful baking soda. Pour into greased and floored cake tins and bake one hour.
