FIRST GRIDIRON CONTEST SATURDAY

Wabash Coining to Meet Coach Parker’s Football Warriors on Riverside Field. Wabash is coming tomorrow to ndeet the high school eleven in the first football game of the season, and it promises to be one of the hardest games of the schedule. Wabash, like Rensselaer, is an old football town, where 'the game h«B been played year after year and where a good team is "always developed. Tickets have met a ready sale and it looks like a good crowd would witness the initial game. Coach Parker put them through an hour’s scrimmage work against the scrubs Wednesday evening and seemed weii satisfied with results. The back field, composed of Miller, Putts and Choate, is a combination of weight and speed. Price at quarter 1 is fast and gives indications of .feeing a good general. Honan is making good at center and four new men, Healey, Pollard, Padgett and Hanley, will take care of the guards. Capt. Moore and Burt Greenlee will take care of anything through tackle. McCarthy and Eigelsbach look good at end positions. The game is called at 2:30 at the ball park. Wabash has a strong team and will put up a fight worth watching. -
