MORE SIMPLE PARLOR MAGIC.
The Adamant Biscuit—Having pro* cured a biscuit made by any of the ladies present begin this feat by relating some Jolly anecdote which will make your audience feel •at home. Then borrow a pint of nitroglycerin, from any one present Pour the nitroglycerin over the biscuit and strike it quickly with a smalt hammer. A terrific explosion will result, bat the audience wih he amazed to see yon hold out the biscuit apparently unharmed. The Hindu Ladder Trick —To get the best effect with this trick invite your audience to accompany yon to the lawn. Provide yourself with a ladder, which you place upon the ground. Climb to the top of the ladder and then pull it slowly up toward yon, stepping downward upon the rungs until you reach the bottom of it. Mount to the top again, and repeat the process, thus raising the ladder each time while you descend to the lowest rung, and continuing alternately to aseend and descend until yon have passed out of sight. Come down in tbo same manner, and to give an extra touch of mystery to the feat, on reaching the ground deftly palm the ladder. This trick never falls to awaken the audience to the greatest of applause.
