Would Hunt Prairie Birds.
Mayor Lemuel DaTrow of Laporte is drafting a hunting bill for the next lesislature to provide an open season of ten days for prairie chickens, on which hunting there is now a ban until 1916. The bill will provide for only five birds to the man. It is said that the bill will have the support of many hunters, who declare that a short open season will not hurt the supply of chickens.
