James Barber, of Pawpaw, 111., came over yesterday to visit the farm of 341 acres owned by himself and Isaac Trotman. The farm is situated in Union and Barkley townships. Mr. Barber has been living on a rented farm in Illinois and has now about decided to come to Jasper county to make it his home. He will probably live in Rensselaer If he decides to come here, owing to the fact that he has two boys to send to school. Mr. Barber has a very vivid recollection of the, last democratic administration. .He also knows that there has been a big lot of prosperity in which all who wanted to have shared during the past sixteen years and that the very best of it has occurred during the past four years and he is not looking for any change that will bring about another democratic administration and he is not willing to leave the party that has stood for the best things ip government in order to gratify one man’s ambition.
