Excellent Summer Dessert.
Whip one pint of cream with the white of an egg until stiff. The egg adds to the stiffness and bulk. Sweeten to suit the taste. Have ready some English walnuts ground rather fine, ajpo a dozen dates and half a dozen figs cut into fine pieces. Stir these into the whipped cream. Put in a mold, cover tightly and pack in a bucket with finely pounded ice and salt, as you would ice cream. Let it stand. for four or five hours.
