Young Jasper County Boy To Tench at San Pierre.
Probably the youngest high school teacher in Indiana is a Jasper county boy, namely, Patrick Maloney, of near Tefft, who will be the assistant principal at San Pierre the coming year. Pat is the son at Thos. F. Maloney, a prosperous farmer of Kankakee township, and is only* 18 years of age. After completing the Kankakee township schools he went to Hamlet, Starke county, and graduated from the high school at that place in May, 1911.. That summer he attended school at Valparaiso, during the winter he taught a district school in Starke county and then went to Valparaiso again. He holds a three years’ teacher’s license and was extremely successful with his first school. He takes a deep interest in education and hopes to enter a good' university within a year or two.
