Notice to Woodmen. There will be a meeting of the M. W. A. Wednesday evening and every Wednesday evening thereafter until further notice. Tom Grant made a business trip to Monticello today. Carl Duvall and Frank Cox spent Sunday in Logansport. Frank B. Hamm made a business trip to Broomington today. The county board of education is holding its monthly meeting today. Elizur Sage went to Payne, Ohio, today, near which place he owns a 160-acre farm. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Purcupile are spending several days in Chicago where she is studying millinery styles. Frank Putts went to Atlanta, Ind. today to purchase fixtures for his new candy store, which he will soon put in operation. <Dr. L. Smith, of Delphi, who for several months was employed in Dr Horton’s offiice, was in town today for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Alter returned to their home in Indianapolis today after spending a week’s vacation with their parents here. Walter English went to Lafayette today to spend the week. He will return here before college starts.aweek from next Wednesday. Ray Hopkins, who graduated from Wabash college in June, left Sunday morning for Fairfield, lowa, where he will teach school the coming year. Guy Gerber willGteach school at Hartford City again this year, making the third year he has had charge of the commercial department of the high school in that city. John Lowe, of Kentland, came over Saturday evening for a visit over Sunday and today with his brother, Thos. Lowe, and family. He is a rural route mail carrier at Kentland. - Mrs. O. B. Wolfe and children, of Forest, are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Trussell, north of town. Louis Trussell, of Roselawn, also visited his father and family over Sunday. A. E. Malsbary, who has been engaged in the grain business at Remington, is moving to Lafayette and will reside at 905 North Ninth street, to which address he has ordered The Republican sent. William Warren and wife, of Tefft, came down Saturday to attend a reunion held that day at the bqpie of John Kepner. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Warren, of Kearney, Neb., were also guests at the Kepner home that day. ir W ' '* Bud Bice, a farmer about 55 years of age, who lives on the Blake farm in Jordan township, is said to have suffered a broken arm while working with a thrashing machine at his home Saturday. The particulars could not be learned \ The regular monthly dime social of the ladies of the Presbyterian church will be held at the home of Mrs. B. F.
