Fountain Park. The assembly meetings are growing In interest and the attendance is fair, notwithstanding the poor weather. The programs are full of interest, not one failure in presenting them as scheduled and usually something excellent tucked in for good measure. Landon, bhe impersonator, gave two most instructive entertaining evenings. Next Sunday promises a grand feast—Dr. Thos. Terhune in the morning and Benj. Fay Mills in the afternoon. The musical numbers this year are proving unusually attractive and warm praise on all sides. - j There is a lively city on the grounds and all manner of delights and pleasures are filling the time, even if it does manage to rain a few drops every day. • , Mrs. Ada Peck Bowman is with her parents at the park. John Vogel, of Marion, was a week end guest of friends. Mrs. Banes’ nieces, of Canada, are her guests for a month. Mrs. Shetland, of Goodland, is visiting with Dr. and Mrs. Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. L. Jordan were guests at the Wm. Townsend park cottage. Rev. Bull has returned from a vacation spent in Kentucky with relatives. 47has. and Samuel Corts, of Star City, were guests of friends Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Milner and Mr. Beasley, of Goodland, were at - the park Sunday. Miss Iliene Chapman, of Indianapolis, is a guest at the Wm. Beal park cottage. Mrs. Clark Bartee and daughter, of joined his wife as a guest of her parpark cottage. Miss Nannie Warfel, of Monticello, is a guest of Miss Hulton and attending the Park, Elmer Vincent and family, of Kewanna, were guests of and Mrs, F. Howard last week, Mr. and Mrs. Nason Turner were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Bowman at the park. Mr. and Mrs. Kirkpatrick, of Raub, spent Sunday at the park with James Washburn and family. Mr. and Mrs. Leatherman and daughter, Helen, of Rensselaer, attended Fountain Park Sunday. Mr. P. Branning.’of Florida, has joined his wife as a guesta of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hand. Mr. Bonner is improving in health. His daughter, Mrs. Reeves, left Monday for her home in lowa. Mrs. O. P. Tabor and friend, Miss Barcus, of Wabash, are here for the last week of the assembly. The harvest festival and social held on the lawn at Sacred Heart parochial school was a very enjoyable affair. Chas. Beal and daughter, Ruth, of Crawfordsville, were here -last week on their return from Watseka and St. Anne. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Parks, Mrs. Ella Parks and Miss Blanche were Sunday guests at the Bert Kyle park cottage? Mrs. S. A. Carson, of Monticello, and Mrs. Nellie Wirt, of West Lafayette, were week end- guests of Mr. and Mrs. Barnes. These ladies are prominent workers in the Logansport Presbyterian mission field. Among the attendants at the assembly Sunday, the banner day, were the following from Rensselaer: Judge Hanley, Mrs. E. T. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bellows, Mr. Leatherman and family, Mrs. Meyers, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hartley and Miss Anna, and the Misses Hamilton and Robinson, Who are guests of the Parker family, and Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Fell; from Lafayette, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Dye, Dr. and Mrs. Traugh, the Parks family, Mr. and Mrs. Clarke Bartee, Mrs. Wirt and Mr. and Mrs. L. Jordan; from Monticello Mr. and Mrs. M. Woltz, Mrs. Carson, Mr. and Mrs. Bart Van Voorst; from Fowler, W. H. Cheadle and Mr. Shipman.
