“LET THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG.”
a—L— Novel Announcement of Approaching Wedding of Hiss Beatrice Yates and G. Elmer Wilcox. * t' "w ? The cat was let out of the bag this afternoon announcing- the approaching marriage of Miss Beatrice Yates and Mr. G. Elmer Wilcox. Miss Yates entertained the younger sew club, of which she is a member, at the home of her aunt, Miss Mary Lates. After light refreshments were served, favors were presented to the guests, which, in a manner that was both novel and unique, announced the approaching wedding. The small favors were In the shape of a cat’s head extending from the neck of which was blue crepe paper tied with ribbon. This gave a striking resemblance of a bag. The bag contained two small hearts tied together with white baby ribbon and a handful of rice. On the hearts was* written “Beatrice and Elmer, September 4, 1912.” Miss Beatrice was immediately the center of attraction and received the hearty congratulations of her friends. . Miss Yates is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Yates. She is a graduate of the Rensselaer high school. She is possessed of a sweet disposition that has won her a large number of friends. Mr. Wilcox is a son of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Wilcox, qf north of town. He is also a graduate of the Rensselaer high school. He is a young man of sterling qualities and has a host of friends.
