Kilted a White Deer.

Another white deer, the fifth one that ever been killed in California. was shot a few days ago by a

14-year-old boy wnose name was not learned by the persons bringing the newß to Chico. He was hunting birds with a 22-caliber rifle near his home in the mountains northwest of here, when he saw at a distance an animal wading in the snow, which he took for a goat r .. It was a long range for his rifle and he had no expectation of killing it when he fired. When he discovered It was a deer he ran home without trying to move it, as he realized he had violated the game law. His father was skeptical until he went to the spot and found it was a snowwhite deer. ~
