' (Mrs. Chris. Koepke and children returned yesterday from several days’ visit at Francesville with her mother, Mrs. Sanford Scott. 'Mrs. Fred Stiers, of near Lee, returned, yesterday from a two weeks’ visit at St. Joe, Mich., with her mother, Mrs. H. A. Clarke. Mrs. W. R. Lee returned yesterday from a week’s visit with her husband and son, Cecil, at Newman, 111., where he is closing out a merchantile business. Chauncey Wood returned yesterday from Crawfordsville, where he had been visiting for the past two* weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Harley Bruce and other friends. - Miss Lois Thompson entertained about thirty of her friends Tuesday afternoon at her home on North Front street. Euchre was played progressively at six tables. Will Peck, who has returned from Terre Haute to work for the Rensselaer Lumber Co., has rented the Kays property east of C. E.
