Council Meets to Transact City Business.

The .city council met Monday evening in regular session with all members present The city engineer filed his estimate on the College avenue and Washington street sewer. The estimate was confirmed and toe clerk was instructed to give notice to contractors of the letting of contract. J

C. Kellner was awarded the contract for the St. Augustine church sewer for $371.30. His was the only bid filed. The petition of Fred Phillips et al for the opening of a street in South Addition was granted and the city attorney was instructed to prepare a resolution for same. This street Is to run east and west. It will be one block south and paralleling McCoy avenue. The Weston cemetery trustees filed their report, which was approved, and Mayor Meyers was authorized to execute deeds for certain lots. The following claims were allowed: Corporation Fund. Geo.
