Injured While Riding Home From July 4th Celebration.

George, the 14-year-old son of A 1 Daugherty, of southeast of town, is now confined to his bed as a result of an accident last night. He attended the July 4t.h celebratioon here yesterday and was starting back after dark on a bicycle. He had no lamps. He was going east on the Pleasant Ridge road and was met in front of Mrs. Worden’s residence, by a party driving in a buggy. Neither saw the other coming and as a result, the lad was knocked from his bicycle and run over by the buggy. He was taken to Dr. Washburn’s office and an examination disclosed a severely bruised left arm. He also suffered a concussion of the brain. The monthly 10-cent social by the ladies of the M. E. church will be held Tuesday afternoon, July 9th, at the church parlors. Everybody invited.
