The Eucalyptus.
The eucalyptus is a native of Tasmania and is a fast-growing evergreen of the order Myrtscea-Frum. Because of the power of its roots for absorbing moisture and the salutary aromatic odor of its leaves It has been found to be highly beneficial in counteracting the malaria of marshy districts te hot, climates, and hence Is called, te may localities, the “fever-destroy-teg tree.” But a great many tales have been told of the famous tree that have no foundation In fact Living in the midst of eucalyptus trees wjll not insure absolute immunity from fevers, bqt there is no doubt it will help some.
