Miss Nina Lyon went to her home in Delphi Saturday, where she joined a number of friends for a week’s camp along the Tippecanoe river near Monticello. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Meguire and her son, Ray Wilson, and Hugh Kirk spent Sunday at Cedar Lake. They made the trip overland in the former’s automobile. Dean Merica came over from Francesville Saturday evening. He has been suffering from the rheumatism getting along very well, but now seems on the road to recovery. . Charles Spain, who has been working on a farm n«ar Reynolds, is spending the week In Rensselaer and .may return here to live. He expects to work at the I. N. Warren tile factory? Mrs. L. V. Carter and children, of Mt. Ayr, and Randa Becker, of Medaryville, left for their homes today after a Bhort visit here with their mother, Mrs. L. Carter. Elmer Wilcox played ball with Monon again Sunday. He now plays first base. Monon won from a Lafayette team 10 to 2. Minus Irwin pitched part of the game for Lafayftte. Mrs. Bert Campbell, who was taken to St. Elizabeth’s hospital last week to undergo an operation, will be operated on Wednesday of this week and it is probable that she will have to remain in the hospital for three or four wedks following the operation.
